Rehabilitation

Whether you have a senior pet, or a result of surgery, our pets require therapeutic techniques to recover and stay mobile. At Wheatland, we offer a wide variety of Rehabilitative techniques such as utilizing an underwater treadmill for mobility, dry land exercises, massage, therapeutic ultrasound, electric stimulation, and laser therapy.

These types of treatments can be paired with at-home therapies such as walking, sit-to-stand, weight shifting, and more–all provided to you through how-to videos and demonstrative guides.

For more information on the techniques we provide here at Wheatland, please visit our *NEW* Pet Rehabilitation website.

Underwater Hydrotherapy

Underwater hydrotherapy utilizes the water's buoyancy and resistance in a controlled environment to provide an optimal setting for cardiovascular conditioning and physical rehabilitation.

Pain Management

We utilize a holistic approach

in order to maximize your pet's comfort. Some animals benefit from medications and joint protects, while others are more responsive to novel treatments such as stem cell therapy and PRP treatments, or rehabilitation therapy.

Therapeutic Laser

Therapeutic Laser therapy is the use of light energy to stimulate tissue repair, provide pain management, and can be used to treat a myriad of conditions.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses sound waves to affect tissue healing. Ultrasound is beneficial for various conditions, including wounds, tendon and ligament damage, muscle relaxation, restricted range of motion and scar tissue, inflammation, swelling and pain.

Massage

Massage therapy is used to improve a patient's physical and emotional well-being. Benefits of massage include pain relief, improved joint mobility, relaxation, and increased circulation.

Therapeutic Exercises

Therapeutic exercise is used to treat disorders of the musculoskeletal and/or neurologic systems as well as in patients who need conditioning.
