MEET OUR DOCTORS

Dr. Roger Dupuis

Dr. Dupuis is an alumni of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, and has practiced medicine for over 44 years. While retired from active practice, Dr. Dupuis still assists in the management of Wheatland Animal Hospital, and frequently offers advice to the rest of the staff.

Currently, Dr. Dupuis is on the University of Illinois College of Medicine Board of Directors. 

Dr. Christopher 

Dupuis

Dr. Dupuis attended the University of Illinois for undergraduate studies, and the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Currently, he is the President of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Association. Dr. Dupuis received his CCRP degree from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, making him one of the only certified canine rehabilitation veterinarians in the Chicagoland area. 

 

His professional interests include anything involving cats and physical rehabilitation of dogs.

Dr. Scott Faith

Dr. Faith is a long-time resident of Naperville and a graduate of the University of Illinois.  He completed his veterinary degree and began practicing at Wheatland Animal Hospital in 2000.  Dentistry, soft tissue surgery, orthopedics and endoscopy are some of his practice interests.  Dr Faith believes in personal attention for each patient and their family while practicing Fear Free medicine. 

 

Connecting with the community through Boy Scout and Girl Scout programs is an important part of his practice.  He encourages Scout visits to the animal hospital to learn about the veterinary profession with the help of his Shih Tzu, Tonto.

Dr. Dave Reed

Dr Reed did his undergraduate work from 1974-1976, before graduating from the Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980, and is a past president  of  the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.

 

He has enjoyed the changes in Veterinary Medicine, offering advancements in both diagnostic and treatment options.  His special interests include internal medicine cases, as well as both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.  Dr. Reed has a particular strength in orthopedic surgery and has performed many procedures ranging from knee and hip surgeries to bone plating in his career.

Dr. Margaret 

Drewno

Dr. Drewno attended North Central College for her undergraduate studies, followed by the University of Illinois for veterinary school and received the American Animal Hospital Association’s award for proficiency in primary care in her graduating class.

 

Dr. Drewno’s primary professional interest is veterinary behavior. She has completed multiple levels of Fear Free certification training and aims to make visits to the clinic as low-stress as possible for your pet. For pets with specific behavioral needs, she strives to utilize humane and evidence-based methods to help improve the pet’s quality of life and strengthen the human-animal bond. She is also interested in dermatology and internal medicine.

Dr. Brandon

Tonokawa

Dr. Tonokawa attended the University of California, Davis, for his undergraduate degree in biological sciences. He then received his DVM from the University of Illinois in 2020. Dr. Tonokawa's special interests include pathology and internal medicine.

Dr. Jesse Hahne

Dr. Jesse Hahne attended Illinois State University for his undergraduate degree in agriculture. He then received his DVM from the University of Illinois' College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. 

Dr. Hahne's special interests include surgery and oncology. He is looking forward to meeting new clients and patients while starting his professional career with the staff at Wheatland Animal Hospital.
