Bringing a new kitten home is an exciting time — tiny paws, playful pounces, and endless curiosity! At Wheatland Animal Hospital, we’re here to help your kitten get the best start in life, setting the stage for a happy, healthy adult cat.
Start with a Kitten Wellness Exam
Your kitten’s first veterinary visit is more than just a check-up. It’s a chance to lay the foundation for long-term health. During this appointment, our team will:
Recommend core and lifestyle-based vaccinations
Screen for parasites like fleas, ticks, and intestinal worms
Offer litter box training and behavior tips
Plan for long-term health and wellness
Every new kitten also receives a complimentary first month of parasite prevention to help them start life healthy and protected.
Stress-Free Visits
We know that veterinary visits can be stressful — especially for a tiny kitten! That’s why we welcome all kittens into a cat-friendly exam room, complete with a Feliway-sprayed blanket to help them feel calm and safe. Our goal is to make every visit comfortable, positive, and stress-free.
Learn More with Kitten Classes
Raising a kitten doesn’t stop when you leave the clinic. Our bi-monthly complimentary Cat Classes are designed to help new cat parents understand:
Feline behavior and play styles
Communication cues
Socialization needs as they grow
These interactive, one-hour sessions are fun, informative, and a great way to connect with other new cat parents while gaining confidence in caring for your kitten.
Kittenhood is a short but magical stage — full of play, learning, and bonding. By focusing on wellness, socialization, and understanding your kitten’s behavior, you’re setting them up for a healthy, happy life.
